Microsoft: $9.5 Billion for R&D in 2010

Like every year, even this year Microsoft has reserved an extremely consistent and ever increasing budget for Research & Development (RnD). On 4th March Chied Operating Officer Kevin Turner announced that their company will spend $9.5 billion for Research & Development in this year alone. This year Microsoft strategy revolves around three pillars (Mobile, PCs, TVs), the cloud computing and on premise solutions.

Apart from $9.5 billion in R&D, $3 billion on next closest technology company.It is more than any company in this world which is an incredible opportunity to really light of the tough, difficult macroeconomic times that they are coming out of.

Even in down time this year, Microsoft did not cut research spending $9 billion for R&D , under Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer underlying that the investment would end up paying in long run. So looking at this speed Microsoft will definitely beark the $10- billion mark in Research spending in coming decade.
